Coinbase Asset Management Sponsors the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association’s Newest Microcredential – Digital Assets.

The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association is a global professional body dedicated to creating greater alignment, transparency, and knowledge for all investors, with an emphasis on alternative investments. Education is vital for developing novel technology, yet there are so many parallels to prior innovations. It was a pleasure to work with CAIA and such a talented working group to create a foundational program to help investors understand and navigate this new ecosystem.

The curriculum for this microcredential was developed by a working group of senior professionals from a range of organizations. The program includes four modules:

• Module 1: The Fundamentals of Digital Assets (including history, categorization, foundations of blockchain, and more)

• Module 2: Use Cases of Digital Assets (including payments, tokens, DeFi, and Web3)

• Module 3: Investing in Digital Assets (including tokenomics and valuations, risk/return, and client education and expectations)

• Module 4: Key Questions and Considerations (including custody, compliance, access vehicles, and regulation)

In response to feedback from the largest private wealth allocators, who expressed a critical need for accessible and comprehensive education, we will offer complimentary access to content from Module 1 of UniFi by CAIA™ Digital Assets Microcredential to all One Digital SMA clients.
