Coinbase Advanced now offers a fee upgrade program for high volume traders

TL;DR: We’re making it possible for high volume traders from other exchanges with over $500K in monthly trading volume to fast-track to lower fee tiers and pay as low as 0.0% maker fees on spot trades on Coinbase Advanced. 

We know that fees are one of the most important factors when it comes to selecting and trading on a crypto exchange. To better serve advanced traders, we are establishing a new fee tier upgrade program for Coinbase Advanced. VIP and high volume traders who use other crypto exchanges can now get upgraded to lower fee tiers by providing proof of their trading volume, allowing them to trade with lower fees on Coinbase Advanced from the start. 

A new, faster way to reach lower competitive fee tiers 

Coinbase Advanced will continue to use a maker-taker fee model, and traders will continue to enjoy 0.0% maker fees for 22 stable pairs. There are still no spread fees and no subscription fees to trade on Coinbase Advanced. 

Starting today, traders can fast track to as low as 0.0% maker fees by providing proof of over $500K in monthly trading volume on another exchange. To apply, traders can select their current crypto exchange and upload a screenshot of their recent trading volume. Qualified traders will be upgraded to a fee tier with lower fees than they were paying at their current exchange within five business days. Upgraded traders will maintain this lower fee for 60 days, and then their monthly trading volume on Coinbase will determine their ongoing fee tier. For example, traders with between $1M and $15M of trading volume may qualify for maker fees of .07%¹

During the 60 day period, those qualified will also enjoy complimentary premium customer support, ensuring timely assistance for inquiries and trading needs. 

Apply now to fast track to lower fees:

Interested traders can apply for the fee upgrade from their Coinbase account by submitting their proof of volume. Proof must clearly identify full name or email, last 30 day trading volume, and current VIP status at their current exchange(s).
