Bringing advanced trading tools to Coinbase

As our customer needs evolve and require more tools to operate their financial lives in the cryptoeconomy, we want to provide the best solutions to trade and manage cryptocurrency on one platform. Over the coming weeks, we will be rolling out advanced trading tools on coinbase.com so all customers can access a world-class trading experience and other popular Coinbase features with one balance.

Access advanced trading features (and everything else) in one place

In the past, advanced traders have used Coinbase Pro for more in-depth trades and analysis. But in order to use other Coinbase features, you had to transfer funds to your primary Coinbase account. With the launch of advanced trading, customers will be able to access sophisticated trading tools and leverage more Coinbase features in one place, with one balance. Plus, you’ll get the same low, volume-based fees as Coinbase Pro for higher volume trading.

There are many ways to make the most of crypto on Coinbase, and this will only increase as we build a full suite of crypto-first financial services. For example, you’ll now be able to make limit, market, and stop limit orders, stake assets like Ethereum 2.0 and Tezos, and earn up to 5% APR on your crypto without having to transfer funds between accounts. You’ll also be able to earn up to 4% back in crypto rewards on everyday purchases with Coinbase Card.

Advanced trading on Coinbase packs powerful tools into an easy-to-use, trusted platform. See how crypto markets are moving and understand historical trends with a real-time order book, depth charts to visualize it all, and advanced charts and indicators powered by TradingView.

When you’re ready to buy or sell, you can choose from different order types depending on whether price or time are most important including market, limit, and stop limit orders. You can use a handy slider or shortcuts like mid, bid, 1%, and 5% from the best bid or ask to set your price. Once you buy or sell an asset, all pending and previous orders will appear in your order history.

More advanced trading tools for more customers, coming soon

We’ve started rolling out advanced trading to all Coinbase customers globally and eligible customers will be notified via email as advanced trading becomes available to them.

To access advanced trading, simply visit coinbase.com and go to the ‘Trade’ tab. Select ‘Advanced Trade’ from the drop down menu at the top of the page and then choose your preferred crypto market. That’s it! You’re now ready to take your trades to the next level.

Starting today, a small number of Coinbase customers will begin gaining access to advanced trading functionality on coinbase.com, enabling a world-class trading experience plus access to other popular Coinbase features like staking and yield, all from a single balance.

Advanced trading on Coinbase integrates powerful tools into an easy-to-use, trusted platform. See how crypto markets are moving and understand historical trends with a real-time order book, depth charts to visualize it all, and advanced charts and indicators powered by TradingView.
